Before the boss encounter, load the map with either a giant or rend. Wait until you have around 6 gold, then deploy a welp near the boss. When the boss begins its attack animation, strategically position the quillboar closer or behind the boss, while keeping it safe from your units as the area-of-effect (AOE) damage will still affect it.

Utilize the remaining units to defend and execute a final small push.
